Jason Lewis Pancake Slut

Minnesota district 2 MN-2 GOP congressional representative Jason Lewis portrait painting

A portrait of my Minnesota District 2 MN-2 GOP congressional representative Jason Lewis as a pancake slut.

As I've painted many pancake portraits in the past, I hope that Jason will not take this painting out of context.

It was recently revealed that Mr. Lewis referred to young women as sluts on his radio program a few years ago. I regularly listened to Jason's show at that time..I have no doubt he did so, but I'm certain it was within context of whatever point he happened to be making at the time. My paintings are art, so this pancake painting is within that context. Enjoy!

I look forward to painting Jason as a Beatle, something I've always wanted to do.  He's quite the fan!

My previous painting of my congressional conservative representative was featured on Gawker, a number of years ago.  So, this is my second painting of Jason. In my previous painting, Jason was attending the wedding of a S&M goat and a pancake.

This original painting is available on Etsy.

Roseanne Barr Scenic MAGA Pancakes

Roseanne Barr enjoying pancakes in a scenic landscape with a red MAGA hat upon her head painting

A portrait of US television actress Roseanne Barr enjoying pancakes in a scenic Bob Ross style landscape with a Trump style MAGA Make America Great Again red hat upon her head.

A challenge to paint upon canvas board; perhaps it is the natural buoyancy of a stretched canvas which encourages a variety of brush stylings-this image lent itself more towards illustration than spontaneous and intuitive painting.  An ominous meteor colored like a matchstick heralds a coming scene; the pancakes to the bottom of the image are unfinished and evocative of post middle age mammaries.

This was a commissioned image; prints of the same are available on my etsy.

Jeff Blodgett Wellstone Action Confidential Pancakes Portrait

Jeff Blodgett of Wellstone Action with a stack of confidential pancakes on top of his head Painting

My portrait of  former Paul Wellstone campaign manager  Jeff Blodgett of Wellstone Action with a stack of confidential pancakes on top of his head.

An intriguing story; the two sons of former Minnesota Senator Paul Wellstone removed as officers from a political operative training organization which bears his name because they questioned finances which they were not allowed to review-because they would not promise to keep that information confidential. Jeff Blodgett is the founding director of Wellstone Action. The Wellstone sons have asked that their family name be removed from the organization.  Mr. Blodgett has called their assertions of bad practice 'specious'. What a mess!  But I like my portrait, which is one of a few recent things where I try to limit myself to just primary colors and mix directly on the canvas.  I came just short of ruining this one with the additional work, but I decided I needed a better likeness.

Dr. Now Nowzaradan My 600 Pound Life Disapproving Pancake Glare Painting

Dr Now Nowzaradan My 600 Pound Life Pancake Portrait Painting

My portrait of  Dr. Now Nowzaradan of the TLC program My 600 Pound Life glaring at a delicious stack of pancakes.

The US cable television program is now in its sixth season. My wife is addicted to this show. By osmosis I have become familiar with his Houston clinic, the dreaded corner scale that the principles are frightened of and the small consulting room with two chairs.

Dr. Now actually has a little less hair in his part than I've given him here. He deserves it.

Via my Instagram post the image has started to appear here and there.   Pictarum, for example.

The original painting has been sold, but canvas prints, which I make personally in my studio, are available on my Etsy. The smaller 8 1/2 by 11 inch print is listed below, but there is also a larger 12 by 16 inch print. They are 20 and 40 respectively.  Motivational kitchen art.

Hope Hicks / Rob Porter Accidental Shiner Pancake Portrait

Hope Hicks Rob Porter Black Eye Trump Dark Pancake

My portrait of US White House communications director Hope Hicks, wearing a dark pancake and a tiny red MAGA ( Make America Great Again ) baseball hat, and also sporting a current boyfriend / former White House Staff Secretary Rob Porter spouse-style shiner. In keeping with the spirit of Rob's denial of spousal abuse, the black eye in this portrait is completely accidental.

This is an 18 by 24 inch acrylic portrait on canvas board.  Thanks to local photographer Billy Briggs for salvaging these canvases previously used for community school use for my reuse. He dumpster dived them. I am grateful. I still owe him at least 2 paintings for the 40 or so free canvases. They were covered in tempera paint but washed off easily.

I started this painting a few months ago but knew it hadn't arrived so sat on it, figure of speech. Recent events brought it out again.  My hope was that this would be a funny painting. It is just a painting.

Minnesota Vikings Stefon Diggs Minnesota Miracle Painting

Minnesota Miracle Vikings Stefon Diggs painting

My painting of the Minnesota Vikings 'Minnesota Miracle'- Stefon Diggs catch of the Case Keenum pass which propelled the Minnesota Vikings into the playoffs only to be crushed there by the Philadelphia Eagles.  The Eagles responded by beating the Patriots in the newly constructed US Bank Stadium and inspiring the theft of a seat.  Many millions spent on security and an entire seat walked out of the stadium.  Terrorists bring things in; burglars take items out.   I think it should be standard courtesy for the host of the Superbowl to offer the winning team a complete row of seats as a goodwill gesture. It would be a nice thing to do.  The bar in St. Paul which threatened to throw beers at visiting Eagles fans is a blight upon the memory.  Seriously, why. This game also featured the halftime show wherein Justin Timberlake threatened a hologram of Prince and was instead cowed into performing a fakey duet beneath a bedsheet.

This is a 3 by 4 foot acrylic painting on a stretched canvas.  Stefon is embraced by Cayleb Jones from the training squad. Caylebs face was very difficult to paint ( I worked from screenshots ) so after the second try I took a pic of my own face in a similar position and painted from that.  It worked.

The original painting, and canvas prints of the painting, are available on my Etsy.

The Vikings are trying to trademark the term 'Minnesota Miracle'.  Paul Allen was the first to use the term in his call, so I'm not sure how that could happen. Big money=big greed=disruptions in spacetime.

I posted the image of this sports painting originally on my Twitter last week.  Making an effort to catch up on blog posts...the hand coding makes it difficult to want to do. I use clunky and dysfunctional computers.
